Ranger Knives by Justin Gingrich

Who is Ranger Knives?

Ranger Knives is a knife company owned and operated by bladesmith Justin Gingrich. Justin is former military with solid background for designing and making high performance edged tools.

Justin is a former soldier with 10 years under his belt in such units as 3rd Rangers(92-96), 20th Special Forces Group(96-98) and the Ranger Training Brigade(98-01). A Police Academy graduate, he has also been to Iraq as an civilian security contractor in 2005. As far as I'm concerned, his background is one of those in the knife industry that without a shadow of doubt does qualify the Ranger Knives to assess the needs of emergency services, law enforcement and military professionals. If Justin says he made a knife for those people in mind, there should be no reason to doubt the comment or the knife's ability to do just that.

Justin has said being interested in knives since he can remember. Justin's own company, Ranger Knives (www.RangerKnives.com) came into being in 2002 when he had was subcontracting for ATC (American Tomahawk Company). After a sour partnership experience with ATC Justin departured from ATC in late 2003. He made customs and then bought apprentice blade blanks from no other than Jerry Busse (www.BusseCombat.com ) and which came his hugely popular Ready Detachment series knives.

Justin is currently making knives including a variety of custom work along with his regular line of knives and other edged tools. Still in his early thirties, Justin has the background most knife manufacturers dream of making credible heavy duty edged tools for professionals.

Ranger Knives

The Ranger Knives produces a small line of knives and other edged tools that cover most military, ems and leo needs. His lineup has been pretty fixed for few years now, consisting of: The Ready Detachment series, The Ranger Assault Knife, Little Bird small utility necker, the Shiv boot knife and the Shank knife. Other offerings consist of Entry Tool Axe, The Renegade Tomahawk and the Ready Detachment Tomahawk. Wether regular lineup or customs, Justin's work is very affordable and comes in great working finish, ready to take a beating and beg for more...

Justin uses stock removal and for customs he works pretty much on any steel the customer requests.

Below are some of Justin's design concepts, offerings and his custom work.

How to buy Justin's knife or contact Ranger Knives?

Justin can easily be contacted through his website (www.RangerKnives.com) or by calling him. His knives can be purchased by directly contacting through phone or email or bought from dealers such as Ranger Joes (www.RangerJoes.com) or Brigade Quartermasters (www.BrigadeQuartermasters.com).

He has also made a collaboration with the very popular HideAwayKnife (www.HideAwayKnife.com) producing a small self defense oriented HAK knife.

One of Justin's best strengths over others is his willingness to customize and modify his products for specific needs or make custom knives from customer sketches. His humble and friendly attitude towards everyone is well known and he takes it upon himself to solve problems or needs that customers have.

His warranty is also top notch: "Fixed Blade Knives are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for life. No questions asked. If it fails for any reason send it back and it will be fixed or replaced at no cost to you".

You can find Justin at the Knifeforums where he has his own forum. If you are interested in Ranger Knives or just want to say hello to other knife enthusiasts, make sure to drop by. Those having had business with Justin once are surely hooked for more.
